FAQ

How do I apply to an American college?

There are two ways to apply to an American college:

  1. Apply through University’s website; online application. This is how American applicants apply, however, the majority does not have to deal with visa issues or housing from afar.
  2. Apply through a company like KAYAK, Blueberry or StudyInternational. We highly recommend this option when applying for college in the US. Not only is their service entirely free, but they will help you apply for college, help you find housing, walk you through the visa application process, and always be there as a support system for you once you are at the college.

How does the American University credit system work?

Diploma Lenght of Education Units required Level
Associate’s Degree 2 years Normally about 60 units which equals around 20 college courses Undergraduate
Bachelor’s Degree 4 years 120-130 semester units which equals around 40 college courses Undergraduate
Master’s Degree Usually 2 years after a Bachelor’s degree Graduate
