New York, clear your Friday night: Swedish jazz sensation Gunhild Carling is bringing her high-energy mix of swing, jazz and vaudeville to The Loft at City Winery this Friday.
Known as Sweden’s ‘Queen of Swing,’ Carling is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, dancer and entertainer whose performances are considerably less ‘sit quietly and nod thoughtfully’ and considerably more full-throttle jazz. She has performed from Carnegie Hall to major jazz festivals around the world and has also appeared with Postmodern Jukebox.
